PHOTO 101: Studio Portrait
The old way of doing a portrait was formal, vertical, straight on, boring. People do not want to look like a stiff anymore. They want more life. More personality. To be more inviting. What I have done to bring in more warmth to my portrait sessions with individuals is to completely change the way the out come looks by going horizontal, off centered, with more soft focus. I even will chop off a forehead every once in a while. Grandma is turning! These are the latest portraits I took last Monday for individual reps from Taylor Publishing Company. You be the judge.
