Juan & Dana's Wedding

Yesterday was a beautiful day in Manhattan Beach. My assistant Kelly and I got to enjoy a great party at the Verandas with Dana and J. Even though things were getting a bit behind schedule, as is customary with every wedding, we were still able to go down to the beach right when the light was great. They are such a fun couple to work with. Here are some highlights from the first part of the day. [party pics to come]

Dana & J's Engagement

Today I am off to shoot Dana & J's wedding in Manhattan Beach. Here is their engagement collage that will be at their guest signing table. They are such a beautiful couple. I cannot wait to see her dress. More to come from today's wedding tomorrow.

Becca's Baby Shower

Today I got the privilege of attending a baby shower for one of my first wedding photography assistants, Becca Yee. What a blessing this new baby will be to her and her family. She and Nick are so in love and can't wait to meet little Max. The baby shower was thrown by her good friends Alyson, Amanda, and Linda in South Pasadena. Here are some "happy snaps" from the event.

Richelle: Finishing Touches

Such a pretty girl! I also loved the can that the makeup artist used to carry her brushes.

Jake in the Buff

I received an email from a fellow photographer, Isabel of Isabel Lawrence Photography, who also is a family friend. [side note: she and her husband Larry are wonderful photographers who are some of the very few wedding shooters who still shoot only film! you can check them out at http://www.isabellawrence.com/
Anyhow, she said after taking a look at Jake's website "I so admire professional photographers who keep up with documenting their own families." As a full time wedding photographer who tends to wake up whenever to start work in my PJs I usually have a ton of time on my hands throughout the day and week to hang out with my new son, Jake [which is a good thing for the little guy but can get somewhat boring for me because he can't really wrestle with me yet!] So, one of our weekly, or sometimes bi-weekly activities is to do a photo shoot. Because of this, I am running out of backdrops. So, with that said, monochromatic was the theme for today...

Here are some of my favs from the reception. The guests were having such a fun time and the bride was so into her party. I LOVE brides like Richelle!
