Last week was the annual Taylor Publishing Yearbook Camp held at Pepperdine University where over 50 schools from all over the country come to learn how to be better designers, writers, and photographers. I get the honor of teaching these incredible students the photography part over the course of 5 days and 13 classes. This year I decided to incorporate my photo booth into the mix to help them understand studio lighting while getting them to think a little differently when it comes to photographing those stale group portraits that you see in every annual book. Here are some of my favorites. [Notice the little guy that is not too happy. Jake, my 7 month old, had a sitter during my sessions but got to hang out with us the rest of the time.]
My name is Jen O’Sullivan, founder and principal photographer of Jen O'Sullivan Photography, a wedding photography boutique specializing in alternative wedding photography. I am known for my beautifully captured real moments, stunning details, and imagery that has a story-book feel. As an award winning photographer who has recently been voted “Best Wedding Photographer in Los Angeles” for 2008 through My FOX LA, as well as The Knot “Best of Weddings 2008/2009 Pick” I am thrilled to be able to do what I love for a living. I have been working in the commercial and event photography business throughout Southern California since 1998, and became a full time wedding photographer in 2004. As a boutique wedding photographer, I want you to get all the attention you deserve. Your wedding is one of the most important days in your life and I am blessed to be a part of it. I want you to love your day over and over again. My desire is to give you peace of mind knowing you have chosen the right person; someone you can trust to capture your important memories that will last a lifetime.
